PDV, Bolloré Thin Papers Vosges Mill: a Modernised and Highly Protected Risk Certified Site

December 14th, 2011: Papeteries des Vosges receives the HPR (Highly Protected risk) certification from FM Global*.

This distinction proves the site’s excellent level of protection against accidents. The HPR certification means that all of the recommendations from the underwriter in terms of construction materials, installation and fire protection come together so that the probability of the risk of financial and industrial loss are lower than market standards. This certification particularly includes natural (storms, earthquakes, floods) and industrial risks (fires….). It shows Bolloré Thin Papers commitment to adhere to the best practices in terms of risk prevention. For clients, the HPR certification is a guarantee of continued activity in a situation of risk and, for the staff, a working environment which conforms to the highest safety norms.

PDV which, driven by a booming news market, went from a capacity of 23.000 tons in 2004 to 45.000 tons in 2011, had not long before implemented completely new transformation and storage facilities.
